EL TRASTORNO POR DÉFICIT DE ATENCIÓN E HIPERACTIVIDAD (TDAH). LA PREOCUPACIÓN DE LAS FAMILIAS DE AFECTADOS Y LA NECESIDAD DE AMPLIAR CONOCIMIENTOS DE LOS PROFESIONALES DE LA EDUCACIÓN

Resumen

El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad (TDAH) ha incrementado su visibilidad social en los últimos años. De forma similar han aumentado los diagnósticos realizados cuyo resultado han sido multitud de afectados por TDAH en las aulas. Partiendo de esta realidad se expone en este trabajo la red asociativa española creada por las familias, la necesidad de ampliar conocimientos expresada por los profesionales de la educación y la respuesta legislativa que se ofrece por parte del gobierno español y las comunidades autónomas. Las familias de afectados han creado en España una red asociativa a través de la cual compartir preocupaciones, inquietudes e información. Por su parte los profesionales de la educación, que deben atender cotidianamente a los afectados de forma adecuada en sus aulas, demandan formación al respecto sobre el trastorno en sí y sobre cómo trabajar para favorecer el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Se han realizado cambios legislativos al respecto, incluyendo el TDAH en la Ley Orgánica para la Mejora de la Calidad Educativa (LOMCE) y creando en las diferentes comunidades autónomas Protocolos de actuación coordinada.
