Modos de representación y géneros en clases de ciencias

En este trabajo se hace un análisis del discurso de una clase de ciencias en la que el maestro alterna continuamente los modos de representación (verbal, modelización y gráfico) utilizando el modo verbal como el principal y como puente entre la modelización y el modo gráfico. Como producto de la interacción de los alumnos con el docente, en esta clase se combinan también los géneros discursivos IRE, narrativo y argumentativo. Por otro lado, encontramos que el maestro sigue el libro de texto pero enriquece el conocimiento con ejemplos concretos de la vida cotidiana y con narrativas en las que también se hace uso del conocimiento escolar de otras áreas. Esta riqueza de modos de representación y de géneros y la combinación de conocimientos científicos y cotidianos propicia la participación de los alumnos en la construcción del conocimiento científico en el aula.
