Sobre el papel de las narrativas en el conocimiento social

Resumen

En el artículo se analizan en primer lugar algunos de los aspectos que definen el conocimiento social como un campo diferenciado de otros, tales como el conocimiento del mudo físico. A continuación se presenta la propuesta de Bruner en relación con la modalidad narrativa como la forma de conocimiento específica del conocimiento social, y por último, se analizan algunos de los esquemas sociales que las personas aportamos al entendimiento de las narrativas y del mundo social.

 

La realidad de la mayoría de nosotros se construye en general en dos esferas: la de la naturaleza y la del quehacer humano; la primera se estructura más probablemente según la modalidad paradigmática de la lógica y la ciencia, la segunda según la modalidad del relato y la narrativa. Esta última se centra en torno al drama de las intenciones humanas y sus vicisitudes; la primera, en torno de la igualmente apremiante, igualmente natural, idea de la causalidad, la realidad subjetiva que constituye el sentido que tiene un individuo de su mundo se divide en síntesis, en natural y humana".
