La psicología en la Formación del profesorado

El presente artículo revisa el papel que la psicología debe desempeñar en la orientación, selección y formación de los candidatos a profesores de enseñanzas medias. Ante la complejidad de la profesión docente, no basta con señalar las características del "buen " profesor, sino que es necesario intervenir de manera que el candidato modifique su propia conducta y actitudes y se provea de medios de actuación imprescindibles para su desarrollo profesional. En este sentido, la psicología no tendría tanto el papel de "disciplina" impartida sino de "práctica" de formación y promoción profesional, a través de la intervención sobre la personalidad de los candidatos y sobre las formas de interacción que favorecerían el establecimiento de los procesos de investigación-acción, al tiempo que coadyuvaría al bienestar personal y profesional de los profesores.
