Conflicto entre culturas e innovación en la enseñanza

Este artículo pretende adentrarse en los procesos de configuración, construcción y enfrentamiento cultural, iniciados durante un período concreto en la vida de un centro público de la provincia de Sevilla, que dieron lugar a una serie de cambios organizativos con repercusiones importantes en el funcionamiento de la escuela. Adoptando un enfoque esencialmente cualitativo, y tomando como referente básico la figura de su director, tratamos de rastrear en las circunstancias que dieron lugar a la emergencia de una subcultura particular dentro del centro, que con el paso del tiempo llegaría a enfrentarse a la cultura dominante, para posteriormente instalarse en el poder. En el este análisis nos detendremos en los cambios organizativos, por una parte generadores, y por otra, consecuentes, llevados a cabo, junto con el establecimiento de ciertas conexiones con el medio exterior y el momento histórico y social, que ayudan a explicar y dar sentido a las acciones desarrolladas en la escuela, en especial, atendiendo a las funciones de apoyo y presión ejercidas desde la administración educativa.
