Investigación acción participativa como estrategia de transformación social y ambiental

Este artículo presenta una experiencia de investigación acción participativa realizada en un barrio de Sevilla, en San Jerónimo. El objetivo principal es la transformación local de la mano de las generaciones más jóvenes del barrio, que después de realizar un diagnóstico participativo de su medio, sienten la necesidad de cambiarlo al reconocer la falta de espacios pensados con toda la ciudadanía. Para llevar a cabo dicha investigación ponemos en marcha diferentes instrumentos de recogida de información, pero hacemos hincapié en este artículo en el uso de la cartografía social. Los resultados revelan la importancia de la participación para producir cambios en las personas y en el entorno, dado el compromiso que se adquiere con el medio cuando desarrollan un sentimiento de pertenencia y de identidad con el barrio donde viven y, en consecuencia, una mejora de las relaciones con el medio social y ambiental.Downloads
