Teacher training is essential in order to achieve a good education for all students in any of the education stages, whether compulsory or not. Therefore, the purpose is showing the evolution of teacher training throughout the different Spanish education acts, in order to (1) see the progresses or setbacks, (2) offer a teacher training on values, (3) as well as a training based on: theory, tutorisation, research and special education that teachers must receive. Besides, teachers have to be well trained in order to both incentivate changes in society, and be clear about their role in the education system. It must be taken into account the importance of the role played by didactics in the teacher training reform.
