Hacia una escuela para todos: liderazgo y colaboración

Resumen

Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre el liderazgo y la colaboración para la gestión de la diversidad en escuelas urbanas de Manchester. A partir de una investigación cualitativa, hemos realizado un análisis crítico y reflexivo del contexto inglés utilizando un sistema de categorías elaborado de forma inductiva estudiando acceso a la dirección del centro, las actitudes, el papel y la gestión de los lideres formarles, la cultura escolar que promueven, su concepto de diversidad, la formación y los aspectos señalados como clave para la gestión de la diversidad. Se concluyó que la colaboración es el factor clave para gestionar y hacer frente a la diversidad a través de la educación inclusiva siendo los líderes formales los responsables de promover prácticas que lleven consigo el desarrollo de la cultura inclusiva.
