Abstract

These lines present an intimate and exhaustive analysis of the work of the architect Antonio Fernández Alba, exploring various literary aspects that go beyond his architectural contribution. It highlights his innovative and rational approach to architectural design, evidenced by his writing in works such as "Libro de fábricas y visiones", which reveals his ability to fuse art and technique. In addition, his poetic work is examined in texts such as "Antipoemas del lugar y papeles del espacio", which combines drawings and poems, showing his ability to explore new forms of creative expression. It highlights his commitment to the preservation of architectural heritage and his concern for historical memory, which situates him as an architect committed to cultural identity. It also analyses his critique of contemporary society and the impact of the market on architecture, which demonstrates his social conscience and commitment to professional ethics. Roberto Fernández, Universidad Abierta Interamericana

PhD. in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, Professor of History of Architecture & Urbanism at the UBA and at the National University of Mar del Plata, where he directs the IHAM (Instituto del Hábitat el al Ambiente) and the Master's Degree GADU (Gestión Ambiental del Desarrollo Urbano). He has published more than 20 books (El Laboratorio Americano, Derivas, El Proyecto Final, obra del Tiempo, La Noche Americana, Lógicas del Proyecto, La Ciudad Verde, Gestión Ambiental de Ciudades, La Naturaleza de la Metrópolis, Ecologia Artificial, Formas Leves, Mundo Diseñado, Ilusiones opticas, Inteligencia Proyectual, Modos del Proyecto, etc) and is dedicated to research in theory and criticism of the History of Architecture and the City and research work in Urban and Regional Environmental Management. He is a Researcher of rank 1 in the national system. He is Director of the Doctorate of Architecture of Mar del Plata (UNMdP) and advisor and teacher of the Doctorates of Córdoba (UNC), Mendoza (UDM), Rosario (UNR), Santa Fé (UNL), Tucumán (UNT and Buenos Aires (UBA). He directs the CAEAU (Centro de Altos Estudios en Arquitectura y Urbanismo) of the UAI (Universidad Abierta Interamericana), edits the magazines Modos del Proyecto and Astrágalo and directs the research project lmaginario técnico del proyecto.
