Manuscript Submission Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors shall ensure that their submission meets all requirements listed herein. Submissions that fail to meet these guidelines will be returned to the authors.

  1. The article is framed by the keywords of the journal “Investigacióin en la Escuela” (Research at Schools).
  2. The article collects research results or a bibliographical review.
  3. A rigorous article meets the basic rules of the scientific and academic community of Education Sciences.
  4. The submission has not been published previously nor is it under consideration by other journals (unless a valid explanation is given in the Comments for the Editor section).
  5. All authors are registered in the OJS journal platform with their personal data (Full name, ORCID, Institution, country and biographical summary).
  6. The file submitted is an OpenOffice or Microsoft Word format.
  7. The article has a concise yet informative title in Spanish and English that does not exceed two lines (maximum of 80 characters including spaces).
  8. The text is between 6,000 and 8,000 words, single spaced and 2 cm of margin; Arial font size 10 and all illustrations, figures and tables are appropriately located within the text.
  9. The text meets the style and bibliographic requirements included in Author guidelines, in the About the Journal section.
  10. Instructions included in ensuring an anonymous review are followed.
  11. The ORCID code of the authors is provided in the Biography section.
  12. The bibliographical references follow the APA 7th Edition style.
  13. All refereces shoud include its DOI, if posible, and be verified via https://search.crossref.org
  14. All links, other than DOI, are shortened with tools sich as Bit.ly.
  15. References are up to date and in line with the theme of the article. Research articles should include about 30 to 45 references whereas reviews offer between 45 and 60.
  16. Self-citations shall not exceed 10% of the total references.
  17. The article includes a summary of 210 to 220 words that follows the IMRD structure and 6 keywords in both Spanish and English.
  18. Research articles will have the following structure: Introduction, materials and methods, analysis and results, discussion and conclusions, notes, support documents and references. In the case of review articles, this structure is more flexible.
  19. The text has been autocorrected to avoid misspellings and double spaces.
  20. Figures and photos are presented in a JPEG format with a resolution of 300 ppi.
  21. Supporting documents are provided in separate files.
