La teoría de la práctica pedagógica de Basil Bernstein: Un enfoque estructuralista

Resumen

Durante casi cuatro décadas Basil Bernstein ha sido un personaje central en la sociología de la educación. Desde sus primeros trabajos sobre el lenguaje y la teoría de los basta los últimos sobre el curriculum y la transmisión del saber, Bernstein trata de conectar las relaciones de nivel superior (macronivel) de clase y de poder con los procesos educativos de la escuela en el nivel inferior (micronivel). Este artículo presenta el modelo de práctica pedagógica más reciente de relacionándolo con su teoría del currículum y de la Pedagogía y con su proyecto sociológico en general. Además, indica una serie de cuestiones de su obra aún no y un área de valor empírico y de aplicación, en especial con respecto a la evolución de la enseñanza en los Estados Unidos.
