Abstract

After a long and prolific publishing career, the last trilogy bequeathed to us by our beloved and unforgettable Antonio Fernández Alba is made up of three titles that summarise a whole life, some of them revised for the occasion and all of them published with elegance and delicacy by Ediciones Asimétricas in a carefully designed softcover edition. This trilogy is the result of a praiseworthy initiative of the Toledo School of Architecture.

The themes around which these books revolve are recurrent in Fernández Alba's life itinerary. We will soon realise that, in reality, the key ideas to which he repeatedly returns are few, but central to the construction of the disciplinary corpus he promoted, as current as it is necessary today. The value of this compilation, moreover, lies in the fact that they were texts selected by the author and are therefore a declaration of intent.
