Abstract

These are essential explorations of paper, its texture and the relationships created by cutting and layering it. They are minimalist works in their technique that display landscapes of folded and laminated forms with depth and balance that are also based on the personal imaginary of architecture. The compositions have a format of 21x21 cm. The same rules operate in all of them: the order and number of layers, colours, etc., but they are recombined in each piece in a different way. The layers of paper are separated from each other at specific distances and are joined together only by a flap at the top, which allows a certain freedom and tolerance in the separation between them, so that the perception can vary slightly depending on the folding or curvature of the paper, and even on the humidity and atmospheric conditions.
