Thirty years after the last visit of Manfredo Tafuri (1935-1994), this book is published based on the materials produced by the international symposium Manfredo Tafuri: from Spain, which took place at the Palace of Charles V of the Alhambra in Granada in November 2016, a meeting held in a particularly significant place for the studies that the historian dedicated to classicism and therefore a symbol of his links with Spain. The two-volume work brings together, revised by its authors, a large part of the contributions made on that occasion, which brought together nineteen speakers, a journalist and eighteen professors from fourteen universities or research centres in Spain, Italy and Argentina. Among them were Tafuri's interlocutors, but also representatives of new generations of historians who are indebted to his ideas. At the same time, outside the production of the symposium, the book adds documentary material of great interest due to its unpublished nature, its difficult accessibility or the fact that it is not available in Spanish.
