Abstract

This article analyzes the lives of four women (Anne Hutchinson, Mary Dyer, Mary Bliss Parson, and Margaret Brent) who, due to their religious beliefs, suffered persecution and intolerance during colonial America. Women who were treated as misunderstood and whose freedom to express themselves was taken away.
