Abstract

This study addresses aspects of pedagogy and how artistic talent is encouraged in the teaching of basic education in Mexico. The study was carried out with a qualitative approach, from the paradigm of critical theory, with a phenomenological design, to analyze the pedagogies of ten teachers in basic education, at the preschool and primary levels, in the teaching of the arts and strategies. that are used to encourage artistic talent from the perspective of Gagné's model. The results were obtained that there are few strategies and techniques for teaching the arts and therefore little incentive for artistic talent, among the aspects that stand out is the training of teachers on the subject, as well as the limited existence of conducive environments for that teaching. It is concluded that it is necessary to improve these aspects, as well as promote said talent from the improvement and implementation of plans and programs that take into account the adequate teaching of the arts and a more complete teacher training.
