Abstract

En la vida diaria de cualquier persona, las emociones están presentes. Ejercen una importante influencia en la configuración de la personalidad, el pensamiento y, sobre todo, la interacción que se establece con el entorno.

Podemos decir que las emociones y los sentimientos son esenciales en el desarrollo del ser humano. Tienen un significado social y adaptativo condicionado por la cultura, que provoca que debamos saber manejar las emociones adecuadamente cuando se manifiestan. Es en esta necesidad de manejo emocional condicionada por la interacción social y la cultura que la enmarca, en la que la educación adquiere un papel importante como medio que posibilite la regulación emocional, favoreciendo la convivencia.
