This essay investigates the peninsular contribution to the renewal of the literary fairy tale in the 21st century and its critical debate, based on the analysis of the lesbian anthology Cuentos y Fábulas de Lola Van Guardia (2008), by Isabel Franc. This review lends itself to an interesting metanarrative reading on the liberating potential of rewriting and female (lesbo) eroticism as weapons to destabilize the patriarchal order.Downloads
