Abstract
During the years of World War I, a group of women – editors, writers and artists – collaborated in the various avant-garde movements that spread throughout the Western World. In England, some of these women gathered in circles which were related to an indigenous ism, Vorticism. In these pages, three of the main conditions that made them fall into oblivion are proposed and analyzed.
