Abstract
The present article treats sports on television emphasizing on live events. It analyses the dramatic elements that includes these types of programmes as a television genre. The increasing use of technology on television is creating new ways of visions in these sporting programmes. The interdependence between sport and television has reached such proportions that today it is impossible to understand one without the other.
