Open access and preservation policy of the Editorial Universidad de Sevilla

The Editorial Universidad de Sevilla publishes all its journals in open access (OA). All contents are distributed under a CC-BY-NC-SA license, you can consult here the legal text of the license.

You can consult the ISSN database for open access journals at the following link.

The journals under the supervision of the Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, hosted in the domains  https://editorial.us.es/es/revistas and https://revistascientificas.us.es, have a secure and permanent archive thanks to the automatic backup of their contents every 24 hours by the university's IT service.

All articles published in EUS journals are deposited in the institutional repository, IdUS, whose preservation policy is guaranteed:
Content will be checked regularly to preserve its integrity, security and durability.
Content will be transformed into new formats when deemed necessary (based on the same criteria of security and durability).
Software emulations will be provided, where possible, for access to formats that cannot be migrated.
Regular backups are made of the complete idUS content, including data and metadata.

PKP Preservation Network

Our journals are supported by PKP and its PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) development, which enables journals to be digitally preserved in OJS. The LOCKSS programme offers decentralised and distributed preservation, perpetual access without interruption and preservation of the original authentic version of the content. PKP PN ensures that journals that are not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access. For additional details on PKP PN, see the high-level overview.
