3. Review of the proposal. The process of double blind review by experts begins. Within 45 days a report is sent to the author of the proposal with the result of the review, whose final decision in this first phase may be: proposal accepted, proposal accepted with modifications, or proposal rejected.

4. Extension of the deadline. If the author has to modify his or her article, the process can be extended by 45 more days to make the modifications (depending on the editor's proposed schedule), plus another 45 days to make a final decision as to whether or not it can be published.

Archiving policy

Editorial Universidad de Sevilla publishes all its journals in open access (OA). All contents are distributed under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, you can consult the legal text of the license here.

The journals under the supervision of the Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, hosted in the domains https://editorial.us.es/es/revistas and https://revistascientificas.us.es, are guaranteed a secure and permanent archive thanks to the automatic backup of their contents every 24 hours by the university's IT service.

- All articles published in EUS journals are deposited in the institutional repository, IdUS, whose preservation policy is guaranteed:

- Content will be checked regularly to preserve its integrity, security and durability.

- Content will be transformed into new formats when deemed necessary (based on the same criteria of security and durability).

- Software emulations will be provided, where possible, for access to formats that cannot be migrated.

- Regular backups are made of the complete IdUS content, including data and metadata.

PKP Preservation Network

Our journals are supported by PKP and its PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) development, which enables journals to be digitally preserved in OJS. The LOCKSS program offers decentralized and distributed preservation, perpetual access without interruption, and preservation of the original authentic version of the content. PKP PN ensures that journals that are not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access. For additional details on PKP PN, see the high-level overview.

PN is an open access system for all OJS journals, and is most attractive to journals that do not have the resources to join a preservation service for a fee. It is also attractive to journals that place additional value on "open access". PKP Preservation Network is secure, and is run by PKP (a non-profit organization), using an open source infrastructure (LOCKSS), and welcomes not only new journals, but also new storage partners and collaborators.

Anti-plagiarism policy

Communiars. Journal of Image, Arts and Social and Critical Education maintains an anti-plagiarism policy throughout its editorial process.

1. Prior to submission. Prior and general indications to the authors:

Communiars. Journal of Image, Arts and Social and Critical Education maintains an anti-plagiarism policy throughout its editorial process.

1. Prior to submission. Prior and general indications to authors: as stated in the principles for authors, for the acceptance of proposals of articles, artistic works and reviews, these must be original and made by the authors themselves. Proposals developed by Artificial Intelligence software will not be accepted (if it is used in a specific way it must be indicated and reviewed accordingly) or works that violate copyright, right to honor or privacy of third parties. Likewise, proposals that maintain a conflict of interest, falsify or adulterate the information, contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism and/or excessive self-citations and uncited references will not be accepted. Likewise, on the one hand, we start from the idea that authors assume their creative responsibility and ethical commitment, and on the other hand, from a practical point of view, we recommend that authors can use existing tools (freeshare or commercial) to check in advance their level of coincidence of texts. Some of these tools are: Plagium, Viper, Plagiarisma or Plag.es.

Finally, the authors commit that the proposal (whether it is a research or reflection article, review or visual work) submitted to the journal:

a) It must be original and made by the authors.

b) Has not been published in any other journal.

c) If it contains data taken from other authors, they must be cited and referenced according to the specified rules indicated in the "Guidelines for authors".

2. Submission and reception: after sending the proposal, and before starting the peer review process, the editorial team reviews the proposals through the Turnitin software (licensed by the University of Seville), which yields the results of literary coincidence. In this way, the originality standards are ensured, guaranteeing a novel and impactful scientific production. Following the software indicators, if a high percentage of comparative coincidence is detected, the authors are notified and the response and the pertinent reasons will be taken into account; if it is finally considered to be an inadequate practice, the proposal will not be accepted for publication.

The journal performs this type of verification, but always trusts in the good will of the authors who want to participate in our journal.

After the review process, if the proposal is accepted for publication, a document of approval and consent for publication in the journal is sent for signature by the authors. In this document, reference is made to the fact that the content of the proposal complies with the principles of authorship and the anti-plagiarism indications outlined in this section.

Summary of the process:

1) Prior to submission. Commitment of the authors to the principles of originality and authorship.

2) Submission. Upon receipt of the proposal, and from the editorial team, a review of literary coincidence is carried out through specific software prior to the peer review process.

3) Acceptance. Signature by the authors of the document of acceptance of publication with express indication of assumption of the principles of authorship and originality of the content of the proposal.

- The authors maintain the copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which allows third parties to use what is published, as long as the acknowledgement of authorship is noted, no use is made for commercial purposes, and finally, in case of creating a derivative work of the work, this same license and conditions for the distribution of such work must be assumed.

- Authors may maintain other independent contractual agreements for the distribution of the version of the article published in this journal as long as they clearly indicate that the work was first published in Communiars.

- Authors are discouraged from publishing their work on the Internet (such as in institutional or personal repositories) before and during the review and publication process, as this may lead to problems regarding anonymity and the blind peer review process. - Once published in Communiars, authors are encouraged to share their articles among their social networking services and academic communities to contribute to better knowledge sharing and wide dissemination.
