Dedicated to Juan Carlos Arañó

Abstract

We could not fail to dedicate this issue number to our dear colleague and friend, Juan Carlos Arañó Gisbert, who recently passed away leaving a deep sorrow among his family, friends and relatives. Juan Carlos was the founder of the research group Educación y Cultura Audiovisual - ECAV (HUM-401), the group that sponsors this publication, the journal Communiars. But his influence and relevance go far beyond being a clear reference for those closest to him. Juan Carlos Arañó was Professor of Art Education at the University of Seville, he dedicated his entire professional life to dignify, raise and articulate our area of knowledge and provide it with national and international prestige. His figure represents an immense legacy of which those of us who have been able to enjoy his teachings and learning feel very proud. 

Juan Carlos, we miss you very much. We will try to continue along the path that you opened and marked. We will always be grateful for everything you have given us, all your generosity, all your knowledge and your love.
