El pasado 17 de octubre de 2013 –coincidiendo con el aniversario de la muerte del Nobel Ramón y Cajal- en España tuvo lugar un Día de Luto por la Investigación o la Ciencia. La inversión pública en este sector clave ha disminuido un 40 por ciento en los últimos años. Da la impresión de que aún estamos con la polémica entre Ortega y Unamuno. Europeizarnos o que inventen ellos: “Inventen, pues, ellos y nosotros nos aprovecharemos de sus invenciones”, afirmó Unamuno a través de uno de sus personajes. Pero es que tampoco nos aprovechamos de sus invenciones, eso lo empezaron a concretar los japoneses y los chinos. De todas formas, con nuestra historia, sería una vergüenza hacerlo.
