Abstract

Este artículo pretende ser un homenaje a la labor de Manuel Carlos Fernández Sánchez, cineasta, profesor e investigador. Su gran vocación fue el cine, dedicándole gran parte del tiempo a su estudio y sobretodo a la realización de películas. Ha sido una de las personas que más ha escrito sobre cine andaluz, del que investigó incansablemente. Apasionado por la imagen, Manuel Carlos se fue especializando en la Tecnología de los Medios Audiovisuales. Son muchos los artículos y libros escritos por él sobre comunicación audiovisual bajo diferentes vertientes, publicaciones que hoy día son objeto de consulta para investigadores y profesionales. El Dr.

Manuel Carlos Fernández Sánchez fue durante los últimos años profesor de la Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad de Sevilla. Murió en mayo de 2003. Había nacido en Málaga en 1953. Este artículo pretende ser un pequeño homenaje en su memoria.
