Dirección y gestión de la diversidad en la escuela: hacia un liderazgo inclusivo
Abstract
El presente artículo describe un estudio que tiene por objetivo el análisis de las investigaciones realizadas en el ámbito del liderazgo educativo y la dirección escolar poniendo su foco en la mejora de la escuela hacia la inclusión escolar, ofreciendo una mirada de las principales cuestiones que se plantean en estos momentos desde este ámbito de actuación. Se desarrolla una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva y se presentan como resultados las investigaciones más representativas que se están llevando a cabo en el ámbito de la educación inclusiva y el desarrollo de una escuela para la justicia social. Nos adentramos en estudios que se centran en el liderazgo inclusivo, el liderazgo distribuido como respuesta a la diversidad de los centros educativos, la colaboración como agente de mejora en la escuela, la dirección escolar como factor para la inclusión escolar, el perfil de los directivos para una escuela inclusiva y, en definitiva, la promoción de un liderazgo y dirección inclusiva para una adecuada atención y gestión de la diversidad. Las principales conclusiones de este estudio se dirigen hacia la importancia de desarrollar un liderazgo inclusivo y distribuido en las escuelas con equipos directivos que apuesten por una dirección escolar basada en la colaboración de toda la comunidad educativa haciendo posible la atención a la diversidad de todo el alumnado.
Abstract
This article describes a study whose purpose is to analyze research in the field of educational leadership and school management, focusing on improving school towards school inclusion, offering a glimpse of the main issues raised right now from this scope. A comprehensive literature review was developed and as a result we presented the most representative research works conducted in the field of inclusive education and the development of a school for social justice. We enter into studies focused on inclusive leadership, distributed leadership in response to school diversity, collaboration as an agent for school improvement, school management as a factor for school inclusion, the profile of principals for an inclusive school and, ultimately, promoting inclusive leadership and management for a proper attention and management of diversity. The main conclusions of this study are focused on the importance of developing inclusive, distributed leadership at school with management teams committed to a school management based on the collaboration of the entire educational community to take care of all students’ diversity.
