This study analyzes the relationship between decarbonization policies and the labor inclusion of persons with disabilities, with particular emphasis on their potential effects on this group. Within the framework of a “just transition,” the presence of disability in general regulations, both international and domestic, is examined. However, specific measures targeting this vulnerable group are found to be insufficient, despite the obligations assumed by the State. The article also proposes concrete measures to ensure that the transition to a decarbonized economy does not leave persons with disabilities behind. It concludes that fully integrating persons with disabilities into the ecological transition is not only a legal obligation but also an opportunity to build a more equitable and sustainable society, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the principles of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
