The pandemic has increased the gender disparities. Gender discrimination and inequality gained stronger contours with the measures of restrictions and the necessary social isolation, measures decreed by the different countries around the world to try to contain the contagion of COVID-19. However, wage gaps and gender inequality are a reality and have different rates depending on the economic and social development of each country. It is necessary to empower women and eliminate inequality, a factor that will allow for greater economic growth and sustainable social development. The fight for gender equality is guided by international organizations of an economic and social nature. It is necessary to give women a voice and end the stigma
