Fictional characters

Abstract
When reality involves characters of fiction, our society assumes with incredulous surprise the real possibility of the existence of this event, narrated a hundred times on the screens. In these days of June, the apocalypse of the megalopolis of New York, so often recounted in fiction, tinged reality with orange as one more effect of the materiality of climate change, witnessed for the umpteenth time by science. Perhaps the colors of that reality only seem real when we see them on a screen, as Alex, the protagonist of Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, used to say. It is at this intersection, between media and cultural spaces, where everything happens and occurs, blurring and crossing boundaries between digital, non-digital, artistic, scientific, educational and social dimensions, that the need for plural, holistic and truly transformative attention to our contexts emerges. Reality must be approached by studying the codes of narration: cultural expression is inseparable from analysis. This issue 9 of Communiars. Journal of Image, Arts, and Critical and Social Education implies to continue deepening in this analytical approach that values the crossing of conceptual spaces, in the need to assume that knowledge is a space that encompasses multiple intertwined disciplines that address the context without detaching from its narratives.
