Agencia e identidad femeninas en el cine de Momoko Andō. Análisis de Kakera (2009) y 0.5 mm (2014)

El estudio y la crítica occidental del cine japonés han priorizado tradicionalmente la obra de cineastas masculinos, pero en las últimas décadas ha surgido una nueva generación de mujeres directoras en Japón. El análisis de sus obras resulta necesario puesto que muchas de ellas muestran la intención de reescribir la imagen cinematográfica de la mujer. Este trabajo se centra en la directora Momoko Andō y analiza las películas A Piece of Our Life (Kakera, 2009) y 0.5 mm (0.5 miri, 2014). Los resultados ponen de manifiesto tres características destacables de su cine: la presencia de mujeres protagonistas activas que resisten el poder patriarcal, la inclusión no estereotipada de personajes LGBT, y la reivindicación del trabajo afectivo y la ética del cuidado como motor de cambio social.
