Abstract

El artículo ofrece una visión general de la prensa local gratuita en Sevilla capital y referida fundamentalmente a los medios impresos en papel prensa. Esta modalidad ha experimentado un notable éxito en la ciudad, muestra de ello, y así lo constatamos en el texto, es la proliferación de periódicos de distrito editados en los últimos años, así como la aparición reciente de varias publicaciones gratuitas de información general. Así mismo, se apunta el recelo que este fenómeno está provocando en los medios tradicionales de pago de algunos países europeos y que ya se constata en la capital madrileña.
