Asumir una postura editorial requiere cautela, coherencia y documentación. Hay, sin embargo, acontecimientos tan importantes que demandan un posicionamiento rápido del periódico como institución social. El presente artículo analiza el caso de los editoriales publicados por los principales periódicos españoles el 12 de septiembre de 2001, tras los atentados terroristas en Estados Unidos, y estudia las peculiaridades que adopta este género periodístico. La prensa, consciente de que esta excepcional demanda de reflexión puede también marcar profundamente la trayectoria editorial de un medio, intentó que sus editoriales fueran noticia.Downloads
