Abstract

El autor plantea como las versiones digitales de los diarios no son una simple copia del formato en papel, sino un producto distinto que convive con el tradicional. Constata numerosas definiciones del diario en red y reflexiona sobre un concepto, el de "diario" que a causa de su informatización, deja de tener sentido puesto que se pasa de algo "que se publica cada día" a un medio de comunicación que se edita al día varias veces, según la actualidad informática. Igualmente, se lleva a cabo en este artículo un recorrido por Internet para comprobar como se autodenominan los propios diarios en su versión red. Dicho recorrido ha supuesto el estudio de cien cabeceras de diarios digitales, tanto españolas como de otros países.
