Focus and scope

Revista Fuentes is an international scientific journal edited by the Publications Service of the University of Seville, with 23 years of publication and more than 300 articles published. It is indexed in Scopus (CiteScore and SJR), WoS (Emerging Sources Citation Index), Dialnet Metrics and other international databases, catalogues and repertoires worldwide. Its contents are accessible in full text, free of charge, to the entire scientific community and researchers. The journal Fuentes uses the external peer-review system following the double-blind peer-review system, endorsed by an International Scientific Council and reviewers from 252 researchers from 16 different countries.

Its main objective is the dissemination and exchange of empirical studies in education based on methodological pluralism; to this end, it accepts educational research works that are of interest to the scientific community and that contribute to the scientific development of Education, placing special emphasis on works that have promoted the transfer of research results. This implies the use of large samples (both in quantitative and qualitative studies) that guarantee representativeness, excluding the description of experiences that do not represent an advance in knowledge. Preferred topics include: Diversity, Quality and Equity in Education; Media Education, Dropout and Engagement in Higher Education, Education and Gender and Learning Design and Evaluation, among others.
