Abstract

This communication aims to address the reality experienced during a period a period of almost eight hundred days of border closure (from March 13, 2020 to May 17, 2022) to a group as peculiar in the city of Ceuta as that of cross-border domestic workers and Moroccan nationals. Issues, such as the specific regulations on immigration, as well as the basic sectoral social regulation of such a unique group, from the beginning of its regulation to its current validity. Different perspectives such as that of the Administration itself (Social Security and Immigration), as well as of the affected workers have also been collected in this document, at the precise moment of the reopening of the border and consequent gradual restoration of transit between both countries.
