Abstract

The creation and configuration of the minimum vital income benefit has opened an important door, Spain joining those countries of the European Union that have provided an economic benefit to cover the risk of poverty. However, the current regulatory regulation suffers from some problems, among them those related to the obligations of the beneficiaries and the corresponding sanctions for non-compliance. Among these, the present text related to the coordination of social security benefits at the European level and Brexit, from the point of view of the Spanish citizens who return from the United Kingdom and are in a situation of economic vulnerability.
