Traditionally, women have been "invisible" to the History and Inés Gómez de Paz was no exception: it never caught the attention of historians since no heroism performed in life, unless it is considered to leave the Iberian Peninsula in the middle of the S. XVI and crossing an ocean full of dangers on a trip without return was a feat for a woman of her time.
