Resumen

La relativa pobreza de la literatura biográfica árabe de los primeros tiempos parece relacionarse con unas tendencias similares en aquel tiempo en las literaturas de las lenguas cercanas al surgimiento del imperio islámico: griega, latina, siríaca…solo el paso del tiempo permitió que los elementos literarios biográficos adquirieran una madurez y un desarrollo extraordinarios, ya a finales el siglo X y comienzos del XI.
