SEA Arts Education Week in Chile From the classroom to socio-cultural transformation
Main Article Content
Abstract
Since 2013, Chile has been celebrating SEA* Arts Education Week, promoted by UNESCO: https://semanaeducacionartistica.cultura.gob.cl/ . Although during the first years, the purpose of the programming was to make art visible and give it a leading role in the school, the dialogue has been moving towards with the socio-cultural problems of the country and the world, inviting school communities to develop actions that involve them actively and critically in the transformation processes. Ten years later, we dare to affirm that SEA has become a platform from which art mobilizes spaces of criticality and creativity, assuming the transversality of cultural, social and political processes.
