Este artículo pretende abordar la noción de evidencia entendiéndola como el apoyo epistémico a cierta información. La tesis general es que semejante apoyo depende del modo en que los sujetos epistémicos cooperan entre sí, otorgándole legitimidad a nuestras creencias. En la primera parte se argumenta que la evidencia no puede ser la única condición para alcanzar el conocimiento. La segunda parte gira en torno a la relación entre la evidencia y las tensiones esenciales como su límite. Y, por último, se hace hincapié en su carácter contextual.
This paper deals with the notion of evidence, understood as the epistemic support to certain information. The general thesis is that such support depends on the way in which epistemic subjects cooperate with each other to legitimize our beliefs. In the first part I argue that evidence cannot be the only condition for knowledge. The second part elaborates on the relationship between evidence and essential tensions as its boundaries. Finally, I emphasize the contextual aspect of evidence.
