Abstract

This work delves into how the world of emotions influences the perception of architecture. The advances in neuroscience and emotional intelligence help us to better understand the thought of one of the most influential theoreticians in contemporary architecture, Juhani Pallasmaa. His reflections have contributed
to a new field of study, the phenomenology of architecture, where aspects relating to psychology, philosophy and poetic literary content are intermingled.
