Two large urban and territorial phenomena have erupted in Andalusia in recent decades: first, the emergence and consolidation of metropolitan areas around the provincial capitals, and on the other, the massive population littoralisation. The city of Malaga, leading protagonist in both processes, has achieved spectacular levels of growth and enjoys enormous socioeconomic dynamism thanks mainly to the expansion and development of infrastructure of all kinds that have cohesive city and its surroundings, separating its historic isolation and relating effectively with other large population centers of production and national and international first. Addressing this complex example of interrelationships between development and infrastructure is the subject of this article.Downloads
