The numerous references about meter provided by Juan Ramón Jiménez on El modernismo. Apuntes de un curso (1953) demonstrate the huge interest of the author in this discipline, unfortunately much more disregarded than other issues in philological researches. This study expects to parse, based on those references, some formal similarities and differences between the main masterpieces of the period known as «modernism», but very specially between the ones belonging to Juan Ramón and Rubén Darío in order to let readers know some more about their relevance in the history of hispanic literature.Downloads
