New historical novel, Colombia, Simón Bolívar, Manuela Sáenz, García Márquez, Fernando Cruz KronflyAbstract
The new Colombian historical novel has experienced a true boom in recent years, partly as a result of the review process to which colonial and re- publican history is subjected, partly because of the advertising appeal of this type of novels in capital moments such as the celebration of the 5th centenary of the Discovery of America or the Bicentennial Celebration of Independ- ence, which includes many works devoted to their main heroes and champi- ons as well as to the most diverse main figures of the period of emancipation, for instance, Simón Bolívar, Francisco de Paula Santander and Manuela Sáenz.Downloads
