Abstract

The poetic work of the Lebanese poet Īliyā Abū Māḍī includes fables of two types, one of this near to the romantic allegory and the other is near to the aesopic tradition. Here, we study the second type, concentrating on char- acteristics typical of the apologue, like narrative character, the antagonism be- tween the protagonists and the moral of the fable.
