FRANCISCO DE LA GÁNDARA HERMOSA DE ACEVEDO, UN ESCULTOR DE PRINCIPIOS DEL XVII

Abstract

Francisco de La Gándara Hermosa de Acevedo is an interesting sculptor in the beginning of 17^th century, who worked in the late mannerist style in Sanlúcarde Barrameda for don Alonso Pérez de Guzmán, seventh duke of Medina Sidonia. This article documents an alter-piece for the convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán; it studies too his ducal's sepulchre in this church and completes its knowledge about four images, all of them pieces that were made in 1605.
