Abstract

Francisco de La Gándara Hermosa de Acevedo is an interesting sculptor in the beginning of 17th century, who worked in the late mannerist style in Sanlúcarde Barrameda for don Alonso Pérez de Guzmán, seventh duke of Medina Sidonia. This article documents an alter-piece for the convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán; it studies too his ducal's sepulchre in this church and completes its knowledge about four images, all of them pieces that were made in 1605.
