The medieval palace of the Count of Altamira, formerly in Santiago de Compostela, was demolished in the 19th century. Owing to the scarcity of data about this building, it had not been so far studied in depth. This article, based on the technical description provided by architect Juan López Frerire in the late 18th century, casts new light on the architectural features of the palace.
