Abstract

A lot of Valencian and foreign pieces of silverware kept in the cathedral of Valencia, which disappeared during the Spanish Civil War, are analysed. Their creators or workshops are studied and their documentary and stylistic aspects are analysed as well. We see, in old photographs, that they are masterpieces and some of them, e.g. the Napolitan Rocaberti’s Chalice, has recently been found in a Valencian monastery. The photographs are important for scholars and for their future location.
