Abstract

This paper studies the so-called “Academia de Bellas Artes Luis Vélez de Guevara” (The Academy of Fine Arts Luis Vélez de Guevara), a prestigious Écija institution, which sprang out of the old “Casino de Artesanos” (The Craftsmen’s Club) of that same town.
